What is the best way to update the wifi module in a lenovo z580 laptop?
Hello, friends.
In my laptop, the standard wifi module for it is intel centrino wireless-n 2200 (rev 4c). It still copes with surfing the Internet, but nevertheless it freezes, and sometimes even goes into reconnection. This behavior is annoying, although not critical. But the most annoying thing is that it is absolutely impossible to play online games on this module that require even and low ping. In this connection, it was decided to replace it with something better and more powerful.
Actually the question is - who will advise what to replace?
PS The problem is not in the home router, it covers the whole apartment enough, and pings well from the tablet from everywhere, on the laptop the ping drops and starts jumping.
The problem is not in the firewood, I tried two versions on Windows, set it up in different ways, it turned out to be a little better, but no more. When switching to Linux, the problems persisted.

Well, I read somewhere that on our laptops in the BIOS there is a white list of valid components, the same wifi boards. My z580 has a broadcom bcm4313, it's even tighter there - a weak signal, it doesn't connect to all networks, and so on. I thought about replacing it with the same intel, but judging by your feedback, it's useless = \
It seems that there are still ways to disable this very white list, but it's not so simple.
