What is the best way to share a patch?

There was a need to get a working OpenVPN WEB interface for LuCI (OpenWRT), fixed bugs and obsolete parts.
Posted a patch to them in the bugtracker. The post has been under review for three weeks now. I don’t blog, I don’t want to fork the entire LuCI for the sake of OpenVPN alone, but I wouldn’t mind sharing. What do you advise?
