What is the best way to retrain from a lawyer to a programmer? Does it make sense to get a second higher education at the age of 23?
Good afternoon! I thought about getting a second higher education in the field of IT, and in general about retraining. By education, I am a lawyer with an emphasis on criminal law, having worked as a public assistant in our valiant bodies, I was disappointed in choosing my profession when I fully understood what was happening there. In the process of studying at the university, I learned to create simple sites, I tried to study php in my free time from study and work, I understood something, something not, but I treated this with great interest, and in general I realized that this was the job for which I I will walk with pleasure. Currently called up for military service. Actually, the question is how best to start training after the army, is it worth it to enter a university and study there as a programmer, Or give preference to self-development in this area, or can you start with some really useful courses? With age, you assess the situation a little differently, if I was 18 years old and had a choice of whom to go to study, then of course I would look towards the profession of a programmer, but after the first tower, which was imposed by my parents, I don’t know how to do better for myself.

If you want to be on the web, then I think self-development + internship is better, as well as correspondence or evening education at a university for background. If you want to program more seriously, then you can also become interns, but already at a full-time university.
There are many options actually.
In my opinion, courses and self-education are the best option.
Universities often give a lot of outdated/unnecessary information, and at the age of 23 you usually want to earn money (and not sit in pairs). If this is irrelevant for you and there is a good option for studying, then age itself is not a hindrance, it is quite possible to go to daytime.
Do as you like, you have already been taught to read books and you know what a university is, that is, all the cards you have, why ask something is not clear
