What is the best way to organize the automatic creation of an e-mail box during user registration?

There is a site, there is registration on the site, it is required when registering a user to automatically create an e-mail box for him, the user cannot send messages from this box, sending is not required at all, he can only receive certain messages that are displayed in the corresponding section of the site. It is desirable to be able to control (select\change) the mail domain.
Naturally, the solution should be as budget-friendly as possible, because there is no monetization of all "this" (I will not describe the entire service)!
Initially I wanted to run my own server using hMailServer and DDNS (eg no-ip or duny). However, problems immediately arose with the ports, in other words, everything was cut and blocked.
It turns out that only VPS remains? Maybe there are other solutions?

Really there are no ready services? Something like "mail hosting", where you can create and delete mailboxes as much as you like, via SSH or some other interface.
