What is the best way to merge 2 hdd into 1?

There are two disks: 2 tb and 3 tb. I want to combine them into one for 5 tb. What is the best way to do this? By software windows (10) or through the BIOS of the motherboard to do a raid 0?

Для получения 5TB надо делать RAID0 или JBOD. Какими средствами - непринципиально. Всё равно при выходе одного HDD из строя с большой вероятностью потеряете всю информацию.

raid 1 makes duplication in Windows
necessary raid 0 - if 1 disk fails, the data will be unreadable

It's better not to merge. Because if one disk dies, you will lose data from both. There would be more disks (and the same size) - it would make sense to make a RAID array.

A RAID array is made with 2 identical disks.
I have not tried the 3+2 option, but I suspect that if successful, we will get 4 (double the capacity of the smaller disk).
In general, after the advent of SSD media, the RAID array has lost its meaning. As it was rightly noted, when one disk fails, we lose all data and, in general, we get a speed increase of 50-60%, which simply does not look serious against the background of an SSD.
