What is the best storage to use for PhoneGap?

Not long ago I began to study PhoneGap, and faced the question of which data store is better to use when developing an application for mobile devices.
At first I settled on html5 local storage , but it turned out that there was not enough space.
Then I started googling and came across a few more options like:
SQLite Database
Native Database
Advise what and how best to use.
