What is the best program for website design?
Recently I wondered if, apart from Photoshop, there are worthy programs in which you can make layouts faster and more conveniently?

Photoshop is right on target.
If Mac:
1. Sketch
2. Adobe XD
3. Invision Studio (Open Beta)
Win:
1. Adobe XD
2. Invision Studio (Open Beta)
Each has its pros and cons. And everyone is now trying to plug the gaps with features that competitors have. So, I think that in the foreseeable future there will be a situation as it is now with browsers - the use of one or the other consists only of personal preferences and dependence on the platform.
Adobe XD - losing so far! sketch on functionality and support from third-party developers. Included with an Adobe CC subscription.
Sketch - Mac Only.
Invision Studio- still in beta, but very promising tool. What is worth only the opportunity to bring adaptability to the layout. Also with a free (neutered) plan.
I sculpt in Axure: you can immediately add interactive, animation, it's easy to work with adaptive.
Well, the market is divided by Photoshop, Sketch, XD, Figma. Occasionally also Illustrator, but these are marginal. Well, this is an exhaustive list.
Exhaustive in the sense that although some other alternatives exist, their popularity/community tends to zero (perhaps only for now). Accordingly, even finding them, you will have huge problems in terms of compatibility with colleagues.
