What is the best monitor for Mac Mini (2014)? Is it friendly with Dell u2412m?

Good afternoon. I want to buy a monitor. I do graphic design. Maybe someone connected minik to Dell u2412m . How do they work together? And in general, which monitor is best for Mac Mini. I'd love to hear everyone's recommendations. Thanks

Probably not much difference.
I have a mid-base Mac Mini with an old LG Flatron L192WS monitor that is about 7-9 years old. And all this works well even without an HDMI connection (there is simply no such connection in the monitor, I use an adapter from Thunderbolt to VGA).
