What is the best MacBook for a Frontend Developer?
I want to buy a laptop for Frontend development.
The choice fell on products from Apple.
I use Photoshop, Atom, Git...etc.
Is 13" enough or is 15" just right?
Will Air(8GB) be enough power for Photoshopa, N-th number of tabs in browsers, compiling...etc.?
I'm not going to play, purely for work, well, to stick to the movie in the evening :)

Answering your direct question: "enough for Air for such work" - I will answer (like many) that it is enough, there is no doubt about it.
But the matter needs to be approached differently, especially for the main working device. Yes, now this device is the minimum, it will work at 100% of its power and cost. But how quickly do you want something more powerful?
After all, we are all different people and judge through the prism of our perception, I have 15k 16th year with 16Gb Ram and I have enough horror for me, I can’t wait until I upgrade to the 18th year with 32gb. Although to a greater extent, I also do front-end development.
If I were you, I would single out certain criteria for myself that are important to you. I'll throw some food for thought below:
1. On the 15th I divide the screen into 2 parts when I write the code (2 columns), with the 13th there is still little space.
2. Air is still very weak with a processor, most likely you will need a Windows virtual machine to test the code. On a 2-core processor and 8Gb frames, this will be another test, especially if you do not cut down Photoshop)
3. Atom is the most voracious editor (on a poppy, if you do not take into account adobe), and if you use an IDE, the Air processor will not be enough. ..
4. Do you want to play at 21 or work normally? Honestly, I gave my firmware 13ku (15th year, with 8Gb Ram) to my wife (she is a copywriter, content manager), she has Photoshop open, several browsers and dozens of tabs, as well as word - even she lacks it.
That's why I don't recommend 13k even a firmware to any of the developers, because it's really not enough. But I just can’t stand it when the car doesn’t keep up with me and I have to wait for it or make some decisions that distract from tasks (what to close, what to delete, etc.).
But the time has come when 13k PRO is more powerful than 15k PRO of the 17th year, this is 13k of the 18th year in stock but with a touchbar, since they have just been updated. Now everyone can choose what he needs, compactness or a larger screen.
Air - I would not consider it as a working tool for a programmer at all, it is for surfing the Internet, checking mail. Although Air was updated for the first time in 7 years, it did not become more powerful... Of course, not everyone has unlimited resources, so it is important to understand that if you still buy Air, you will need to upgrade soon because you will miss it, after getting used to the device.
13 inches is not enough for work
, Air may have enough power, but under photoshop xs, reviews about it are often bad in terms of screen
