What is the best amount of hard disk space to set for system restore points, a 512GB disk (The system shows the volume: 475GB, apparently reserved by Windows), now the volume for restore points is 1% (4.76 GB)

How much is not a pity. If everything you need fits on the disk and there is a lot of free space left, then why not allocate 5%..10% for recovery points. Maybe someday it will come in handy.
On the other hand, 4.76 GB is not that small, you can leave it as it is.

It directly depends on the number of changes in the system and the number of time points that you need.
