How to secure a drive in an external box?
I decided to use the old HDD from the laptop as an external hard drive. I bought a box, inexpensive Chinese aluminum. But then a question arose. Are there any subtleties in terms of installing a disk in a box, how to protect it from static?

In a box, especially a metal box, static does not threaten the disk.
More importantly, avoid overheating during operation.
Well, nails with this box are also undesirable;)
