What is the basis for choosing java vs .net for business automation?

Hello.
There is a network of pet stores where it is required to make a single system for managing all business processes:
1) Accounting systems at points of sale
2) Warehouse accounting system
3) Logistics system
4) Online store
5) Advertising activity management system
The owner has no preference on what to do this accounting system.
What criteria should be considered in order to understand which stack to invest time and money in?

You need to look, first of all, at the skill of the team that you are going to involve in the development. If the team hacks in Java and not-too-tooth-footed in .Net, then the choice will be obvious. The next nuance is infrastructure. If you are going to build it on Windows, then probably .Net will look better. Then the application architecture. If you are going to make desktop applications, again for windows, then there are no options - it is better to take C #, WCF and .Net. If you have a Web application with a browser as a client, then Java looks more serious here with its developments in the "bloody enterprise". Or you can mix everything together - the client will be a desktop application on the .Net Framework, and the server will be written in Java.
I would simply describe the Wishlist in the form of a technical specification, and let an experienced developer evaluate it, I think he will make the right choice of a technology stack.
