What is taught in the specialty 09.03.02 (Information systems and technologies)?
Hello. I'll start right away, without lyrics. There was a desire (bordering on necessity) to get a second degree in IT. Well, since I'm already an adult guy, family, work, dog, construction and so on, the possibility of training can only be considered in absentia. I began to study the websites of universities on this topic. I only watched Mr. universities, because I perceive only them and, as my life experience shows, not in vain.
We mainly offer two directions for the correspondence format:
09.03.02 Information systems and technologies
09.03.03 Applied informatics.
The latter, as I understand it, is more about economics and accounting. But what kind of program I did not find on my question. They write a lot of things, but for example, what languages are being studied, I have not seen anywhere. Please help.
Z.s. Of course he googled. I came across a lot of articles, including those on Habré about IT dropouts and about the fact that there is no normal education in the Russian Federation, and no one asks for a piece of paper if you are a normal specialist, but still I know the price of knowledge, and my question is like it's not about that.
Can someone offhand evaluate this curriculum and what kind of specialist will be the output?

I studied in this specialty, studied C #, but they gave me a choice, I could choose Java or Python - the most important thing here is not the language, but to learn programming.
There were databases - mostly they talked about Postgres, there were topics about Oracle
. A bunch of different types of mathematics in all courses.
Operating systems
Networks and telecommunications
IT security
Some other couples related to the organization of building an information system at different enterprises
Well, data analytics was also present - the one who chose Python was lucky - because it is much easier and faster to solve labs on it
Then, in the 3rd year, they gave me the opportunity to choose an additional direction, information systems and technologies in mechanical engineering or education, everything changes depending on what you choose (I don’t know how it is now, but when I was studying, they gave me a choice and the program changed, the group was made into 2 subgroups) and accordingly there were various additional professional subjects - I chose education and there were (psychology, teaching methods and something else) who chose mechanical engineering (there was engineering graphics, they studied SolidWorks and something else, I don’t remember already) in general they taught well and interestingly, a lot of practice, I had to learn a lot additionally myself, because I think all IT specialties are 80% self-study, they give a skeleton and a program in pairs, and then I myself.
Read the Federal State Educational Standard and check the curriculum at the university.

Do you consider only Russian universities? If not only, then there is, for example, Open University . https://www.openuniversity.edu/courses/search-resu...
