What is required programming experience?

Good afternoon.
I myself am still a student. I had experience of working in a startup on the salesforce platform, but it was not for long. Moreover, I changed the country and no one needs my work for a couple of months. Often in ads I see that in a new country, what in general - programming experience is asked for at least a year, for example, and in education they write - technical education or the last years of study. I know very few people who are still formally employed during full-time education.
I heard somewhere that in Europe or America, the time of your study is counted as programming experience, well, or from that semester when you started learning Java \ C ++, etc. More experienced, tell me what is usually meant by the phrase - "Programming experience in the X language." Can I consider that I have more than a year of experience if I read books and did exercises at that time (this is me figuratively. I have my own project, but it is too large-scale that I can even show my achievements to everyone in a row)

Often, the employer invited me for an interview, even if the vacancy indicated that N years of programming experience was needed (although I am a 4th year student with no formal work experience). So keep it up!
By subject: Apparently, programming experience is really a vague parameter, so I would recommend that you ask for a test task. It seems to me that the combination of N years + test task will give you an idea of the vacancy.

if you have been programming tightly for a year, then you can consider that you have it, if you just studied like that, then you can consider that it is not there.

Europe or America, the time you study counts towards programming experience.
I bought a C++ textbook in 8th grade and read it for 5 years. Am I a signer now? So what? Studying is not considered as experience, no sideways and nowhere.
We solve this question very simply:
Usually this is enough to understand what a person has been doing in recent years at the university.
Understand that you are leaving a government agency and want to go to work in a private one . Do you know what private means?? This means that everyone is happy for you, but everyone doesn’t give a shit about you, everyone expects results from you. Have you heard about the relevant experience? Relevant experience is only full time. Maybe it will still be news to you that employers call your former places and ask you to review and describe. What drip and can contact your former supervisor directly on the cell phone immediately after the interview.

Experience in programming N years does not say anything at all. There are people who for all these N years have not done anything more complicated than Hello world (this is me figuratively), while others, on the contrary, in a couple of months could master a new language no worse than other N-year-olds. So it's more of a conditional filter.
