What is nuxt-edge and how is it different from just nuxt?

Hello.
I remember that in some project, right during the installation, instead of nuxt they indicated - nuxt-edge - I decided to figure out what and why, but I didn’t understand :)
What is the essence of this very nuxt-edge? Is it better to use it than nuxt?
In general, can you please explain on your fingers and in a nutshell?)

This is a separately published nuxt with the latest changes.
