I've never been interested in node.js, but I've seen it a lot. Decided to get to know him. Where is it used on the web? And is there any documentation in Russian?

After version 0.6+ (if memory serves), it has become much more stable and suitable for production. The scope is similar to any other server languages (?) + asynchrony out of the box.
It is also an undoubted advantage that the server (of course, has its own specifics) and the client can write in the same language, which allows you to save money, in some cases, and in others, if one person works, "do not switch".
If you know js and want to keep diving into it node.js and now io.js is a great solution.
