Windows is more gluttonous, but Linux completely merges in terms of functionality on the desktop.
And I also had some KDE processes eating up 12 GB of RAM due to memory leaks so beloved in Linux.

KDE is designated. In addition, their functionality is not the same - what is easily and naturally done in Windows, in kde is done through a huge #op and vice versa. Linux - for work, Windows - for home, for entertainment.
