Is it possible to VNC access an Ubuntu virtual machine?

The task is to run on the XEN Ubuntu virtual machine via VNC, the desktop. More specifically, I need to run OBS to overlay dynamic content. Will it work at all? Do you need a video card for this or is it just generating an image via VNC and everything is tip-top? It's just that there is no video in the server :)

If X is running on the bootloader, and not a bare console, no problem. VNC is an open protocol, so there are servers for it and clients for everything in the world. And xvnc, in my opinion, will even launch X itself - though they will stop working when the connection is broken.
