What is monetization with AdSense?
Question for those who actively use AdSense on their sites.
Recently, in one topic, a phrase slipped through that with AdSense you can earn about $ 1 from every thousand users. I used AdSense for several years and observed approximately the same picture - about $ 0.7 per thousand visits. But the traffic to my site was very low, about 100 people a day.
Does AdSense earning percentage change as traffic increases?
For example, if not 100 people a day visit the site, but 10,000?
Google has some keywords that cost several dollars per click. Do ads change to more expensive ones with site traffic, or are only those shown that very strictly correspond to the subject of the site? In my case, I received no more than a few cents per click.
Thanks in advance.

Profit depends solely on the subject. My website brought ~$100 from a thousand. Topics asked and expensive (forex). It's a pity attendance was small (~ 3000 per month).
I have a site that with 8k people a day gives 4k rubles, again per day
. And there is a site that has 80k people a day and which gives 80k rubles, but already a month.
Everything fluctuates a lot depending on the topic, on user involvement, on the percentage of new or loyal ones (old-timers ignore ads)
Your income is the cost of a click * clicks, clicks are attendance * CTR.
If you have 1000 people and 0.3% click-through rate (this is the norm) - get 3 clicks per day.
And what if there is 1.5% click-through rate? (also the norm)
Next, we look at what is better - an expensive click but a small CTR (adsence) or a small click and a large CTR (teaser networks)
10 thousand rubles per 100 thousand people per month.
So there is no particularly exponential growth.
With an average of 2,000 visitors/month since August 2009, I'm just waiting for the first $100 to be paid.
$2.5 per 1000 users.
I think it depends not on the quantity, but on the subject of the resource and the quality of visitors.
Yandex.Direct (YAN) brings me about 1000 rubles / month for 1000 uniques / day (the subject is education). In general, it is not enough compared to its advertisers or other methods of monetization.
AdSense think about the same exhaust will give. Well, plus coefficients for the subject and region. If you have a site dedicated to forex or ferrari, clicks will be more expensive. AdSense (unlike Direct) analyzes the content of each specific page (what to show on it).
I met such an approximate empirical dependence on the network: how many visitors per day, the same amount will be approximately rubles per month.
But you understand, this is the classic "average temperature in the hospital." Fluctuations can be huge from site to site. Depends on the subject, audience, region, design, etc.
By default, unknown (for Google) users in the Google AdSense block are shown ads that are relevant to the page of the site on which the ad block is placed.
If your user has a search history with queries like "buy an apartment in Moscow", then by going to your site about growing potatoes, the user can see an advertisement for apartments in Moscow, provided that at least 1 advertiser through AdWords has set up ads for their real estate site in Moscow based on the region where your website visitors are located and targeting placement on the Display Network based on their respective interests.
That is, in order to earn more on AdSense, you do not have to have a lot of traffic. The main thing here is to attract the most expensive users to the site. If your site is visited by users who are interested in luxury real estate, expensive cars, etc., in general, rich people, then the ads will be shown to these people accordingly, they will make clicks, and by the way, these clicks in expensive topics are an order of magnitude higher, since the advertiser does not it is important how exactly a solvent client gets to his site, even from a site about potatoes, at least about something else, and the advertiser pays a lot of money for clicks with the expectation that his investment in advertising will be profitable.
In general, drive quality traffic to your site.
