What is "frame duration" in the camcorder settings?

In the settings of the camcorder there is a parameter "Frame duration" with a value of 2, 4 and 8 seconds. But I can’t google what it is and what settings to use when.
Give me advice, please, or a link where to read.

It's not frame length. This is the length of the video snapshot.
Maybe the camera can take snapshots with a small attached video.
Like I took a picture and for another 2-4-8 seconds you can say something and shoot a video.
You can put such snapshots in one album and get a long video.

Perhaps the duration of GOPs (gop duration) is implied.

The default value is often left in the range of 6-8 seconds, it seems that in your case it is 6 seconds that is the default.
