What is commercial use?

Actually, subject.
There is material (photos) distributed under the CC0 license, i.e. freed from all copyrights, however, an opinion has surfaced that if these photographs contain logos, texts of various companies, such as Apple, Microsoft, etc., then for commercial use it is better to overwrite the whole thing.
Actually here I also reflected, and what is commercial use?
Let's say I want to use these photos as a background for a website.
A site that provides a certain service for which the user pays (one-time or on an ongoing basis. Not the point). In this case, the use of an image in the design of the site is its commercial use?
If the site has a donation system, then in this case the use of the image in the styles is its commercial use or not?
Basically a dilemma.

@FullThrottle

In the case of the appearance of the first donor, this is already a commercial use)

In practice, it's better to be safe and remove all logos.
I'll give you an example.
A check came to one service center and found WinAmp engineers on one of the computers.
Recognized as commercial use, as it was installed on a work computer. And it doesn't even matter that Winamp might not start even once. And given the "dubolobnost" of our bodies, it is better to play it safe. At that moment, I was in the Department of Practice and made an unambiguous conclusion for myself for the future.
