Why besides python then?
You can write on anything that has Turing completeness. Because the math is the same everywhere.

From my observation, most of the examples and developers are in Python, but it uses ensembles of ready-made solutions. If you need a fundamentally new fast algorithm or compact data structures, then C ++ is the best way to do this, in which you can write a module for Python.
