What is a trigger? encountered in the book, that's just it's complicated to explain.

I wanted to write that everything is simple and set up the scheduler in Windows and understand.

At least what language do you study? And in what context?
Typically, a trigger is a function defined by the programmer that fires on some event. Called asynchronously by the system. Essentially the same as callback functions.
