Polylang (it has WPML Compatibility, works with everything that was written down under WPML)
qTranslate X

Everyone has a different approach, namely:
Polylang / WPML - translations are independent records, interconnected hidden taxonomy "language". The disadvantage is that you cannot use the same slug for different languages.
qTranslate X - translations are stored in the same record using special markup. Inconvenience - when you turn off the plugin and / or switch to another, you will have to clean all content from special markup. Some plugins are difficult to add support for qTranslate X.
MultilingualPress - multisites, each network site is a language version. Content is linked to each other. It is convenient if the site is large and a separate person / team works on each version, if the content is not mirrored.
WPGlobus is a relatively new plugin, but it looks interesting and the reviews are good. Works on the principle of qTranslate X (and seems to support its syntax).

WPML is the most famous and widespread. True paid. But the support is fast and the documentation is very extensive.
