How to determine if disks in a RAID array are encrypted?
A classic case has occurred, the datadomain server has come up (it is not possible to restore the server, it simply does not turn on). I tried to get data from the disks (presumably the server had RAID 6), there were 7 disks.
I see all physical disks, but Hetman RAID Recovery software does not see RAID (
In the program I see 4 local disks for each physical disk (but space is available only on the boot disk):
1. boot size 502 mb
2. Disk 1 5 GB
3. Disk 2 862 GB
4. Disk 3 63.58 GB I
assume that the disks most likely worked with encryption enabled, in connection with this, two questions:
1. How can you understand that this is really so?
2. At what level does encryption occur in such servers, that is, for example, if you completely replace the RAID controller (that is, install the same model), will there be any problems or is encryption not at the controller level?
