The terminal is the physical part of the interface.
The shell is the software part.
The console is the control part.
A terminal is a keyboard, a monitor, a coin acceptor, a bill dispenser, a mouse - in general, all devices that allow you to interact with something directly (hands, eyes).
The shell is the program that handles all these things, that responds to your keyboard actions, that displays information on the screen, that turns on lights and signals.
Console - this is usually understood as a console for managing something, a more abstract level. Because the coin acceptor is not a control, but an interaction. And for example, the on-off button, this is the console.
Now there is not much point in separating all this, because if we talk about working over the network and in Linux, then many devices are made virtual - the same output to the screen is virtualized, and instead of output to the terminal (monitor), the output is made to a virtual terminal, which is over the network is transferred to some Putty, which in your Windows already displays information on the monitor. In this case, the terminal is virtual.

hardware means made by a physical device. A hardware terminal is a device that can display information and receive input. not necessarily a monitor with a keyboard, but also a printer with first cards.
