What if we combine GA and ANN?

Does it make sense to combine a genetic algorithm with a neural network, that is, genetics will improve the next generation neural network preset generation algorithm by crossing + part of the neural network experience will be inherited? How effective will it be and in what tasks? Does something similar exist? Your opinion is interesting.
