What if I found a hole in my ISP's network, thanks to which I can use the Internet for free?

The bottom line is this:

There is a banal hole. Using the static IP enumeration method, you can find a working network channel. In support and representatives reported more than once. What will happen to me (from the point of view of the law) if I continue to use the hole? It's not hard to close it.

py.sy. For those who believe that I brazenly steal the Internet from an honest user, I will answer. Been using the same IP for over a year. Therefore, it is unlikely that someone simply lost the Internet, and I treated the subscriber badly.

“My neighbor from the apartment opposite does not lock the door with a key. I told him about it several times, but it did not change the situation. What happens if I take the TV and laptop out of his apartment?”

“One of my friends” in his time (early 2000s) used “freebie” like that. "Freebie" turned into communication with the FSB, the loss of three home computers and decent money for a lawyer.

The law is not against it, use it. Yes, and your conscience is clear)

Law enforcement will not short-circuit too much until the damage exceeds the criminal threshold. (To be honest, I don’t know what the amount is now.) Even if there is a statement, they will scold that’s all. But if it already smells of business there, they will take care of you with joy. Openness needs to be increased.
At one time, in such a way, my boss caught one office with live bait. I don’t know why he didn’t like her, but given that this office managed to steal the password from its own client, and used it herself, apparently there was a reason. So, we sat and waited stupidly until they scooped up traffic for the required amount. And then, the fighters from the “K” department, the investigator, all that. The show almost didn’t get to the mask, because they didn’t particularly want to give away the weapons of crime. The equipment was returned to them three months later. What happened in the courts, I don't know. I participated in all this performance in the role of an “expert”.

I wouldn't mess with it. Like "I found a hole in the Internet bank, it allows you to withdraw any amount of money, the support does not respond - can you continue to withdraw?" Obviously, the Internet is not free for the provider, which means that your actions bring them losses. If they forgot to charge you money for service, then yes, you can use it, but since you have a choice - to violate or not, and at the same time you deliberately and consciously violate, then problems may appear.
In general, as I said, you should not get involved with the current prices for the Internet.

I will try to be accessible Article 272. Illegal access to computer information
Article 274. Violation of the rules for operating the means of storing, processing or transmitting computer information and information and telecommunication networks www.zakonrf.info/uk Understand
that you have found a hole and warned no one will.
Given the complete lack of merit on your part to the state in the field of IT, in particular, hacking the NSA, etc. with the transfer of confidential data to the relevant authorities. Then according to the above articles you will receive in full.
Americans do not just complain that cyber criminals are not imprisoned in Russia, our crackers focus attention and train on foreign resources, think about it :)

Do you have an expensive Internet there? What's the point of bothering with hacking when the Internet costs a penny.

I think it's worth letting them know about the security breach.
And they, if people are understanding and literate, should give you a free Internet and beer.

Somehow, the mother-in-law suddenly "he" earned the Internet. In the sense it was not necessary to raise any pptp and so on - the computer received a gray address and, without any speed restrictions, got into the Internet. Somewhere in a couple of months it turned out, but it was still necessary to have money in the account. In a conversation with technical support, I mentioned this jamb of theirs, and in response I received “this is impossible, you are confusing something” and promises to sort it out. As a result, for another 7 months everything worked like that. Then they reconfigured something, access to the Internet with the VPN disabled remained, but the speed was already about 30 kb / s.
Nobody cares.

My neighbors moved the login / password from the Internet. I don't know how. Then there was a password change at the provider and a conversation between neighbors and department K.
