What hardware to buy for a small office?

Incoming Internet - via L2TP (Beeline). At first I planned to take some Mikrotik, since it can work with VPN, but now I’m thinking - is it worth taking a separate piece of hardware for VPN and a switch from it? There will be about 16 clients and the Internet will be used constantly. I would like advice on this.

In fact, anything can be used for such purposes. In my opinion, one of the most profitable options with a reserve for the future is to take and install a linux "gateway" and a regular dlink for 24 ports. If you do not need fault tolerance, etc. It's enough. You can also count traffic.
