What happens to fonts in Opera on Ubuntu 16.04?

What happens to google fonts in Opera on Ubuntu 16.04? Did a little research. In short, on all sites where Google fonts like Roboto are used, even with a local font, the font from the Google repository is loaded and the text is distorted, namely, it sets the letters to different heights. For the experiment, I left only the local font loading on the page, everything fell into place. This happens only with Russian text and only in Opera, everything is fine on other browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Vivaldi). The problem affects a large number of sites, such as youtube.com, toster.ru. I am attaching screenshots of the same page in Chrome and Opera:

It looks like a bug in Opera itself, so you need to write to them, not here
