What happened to the bigstreet engine?

I choose a social network engine. I like bigstreet most of all in terms of opportunities, however, the latest entries and comments on the site are dated 2009.

Or can someone share links to developed social network engines? We need groups, blogs, a gallery, a Russian-speaking Front-End. The choice seems to be small - socialengine, livestreet and bigstreet.

Yes, they abandoned it, I chose live street for myself, they are actively sawing, there are a lot of plugins, they made versions for automatic installation from the hosting panel + plugins there.

They tried to sell it. Apparently it hasn't been sold. It's a pity - the engine was written well. I agree with opium - live street is now much ahead.

There is also Cogear - unfortunately, I can’t characterize the state, otherwise as “half-dead”, Cogear 2 was promised by last fall, it is still not there. The first Cogir is for CodeIgniter fans, probably
:)
