What happened to DirectI/ResellersClub, the successor to ESTDomains?

Recently, a joyful letter came from the registrar DirectI (ResellersClub), which several years ago took over all domains from the deceased ESTDomains, stating that all domains registered there are being transferred to reg.ru. In a week so simply, without the consent of the owners, the domains were moved.
What happened? Did reg.ru buy the registrar? Someone drank something again? Has ResellersClub gone crazy? Is this only with Russian accounts? How to return domains back to overseas registrar? If you have information or comments, please share, I do not like this situation.

ResselerClub transferred domains only with Russian-speaking owners. You can return it back most likely using a transfer, for this it is better to contact the reg.ru.
