Monitoring
Vadim Choporov, 2016-10-25 08:51:27

What free software would you recommend for monitoring network status?

Good afternoon.
Share who uses what network monitoring system? There are a lot of remote points, a monitoring system is needed - are remote hosts-routers alive, for example, by ping, and when the link falls for a time interval - it sends an email (it has its own mail server). Now I use PRTG (monitoring works fine) - but I've already killed a day, I can't make friends with the mail server and notifications don't work.
Thank you.

Friendly Pinger :-)
an old program, but simple and easy to configure, it sends notifications of events to the mail

There is also lanstate for monitoring and maps. You can ask them for a free key, it seems, for 10 hosts, if your network is small
