What fps is needed for a 144hz monitor?
I was puzzled by the question of 144Hz monitors. Each video on YouTube about such monica says that, supposedly out of the ordinary, smoothness, clarity, and so on. So, what is the crux of the matter? For a 144 Hz monitor, the FPS of the game must also be 144 or close to it, or at least say in the hundreds? Some say that you need at least 120 fps for the game to give in order to feel some kind of smoothness, others say that this is enough. Who used, who has something to say about this? Which side is the truth on?

Why do you need a 144hz monitor? Are you a professional gamer? These monitors have a super fast TN-matrix. Where everything is sacrificed for the sake of rendering speed. Especially color reproduction.
Buy a good, big IPS monitor, make sure your PC can handle 60-80 fps in games.
This is the best choice for non-professionals. After all, you want to play beautiful games, and not hardcore wack at super low graphics settings (for smoothness) at 200+ fps.
Most pros play at 60 with no problem. It is difficult to get a stable frequency higher, because scenes can be of different rendering complexity, and there is no point in getting used to 100 or 144, even if your computer can handle it.
Moreover, at the championships it is not known what equipment will be played on, and the standard is still 60, and it can turn out to be inconvenient if "everything is wrong" for you.
Of course, the higher the fps, the smoother the movement. If the monitor gives out 60, then fps above 60 will not give anything, you can set more. The difference is clearly noticeable between 120 and 60, if you look at once and there and there, but the difference will be between 60 and 70. Just barely noticeable.
If you have a monitor and a computer, try setting a higher FPS - it will be perceived more smoothly, but will the vidyashka pull it?
If there is video content, you can also try to watch it.
But in fact, what is important is what you are used to ... if the difference between 15 and 60 fps in games gives a noticeable advantage, then 60 and 120 - it is practically non-existent.
On CRT monitors, the difference between 60 and 75 is visible, but there are some peculiarities. However, on a 144Hz monitor, 75 frames will be noticeable. Some "do not notice" the difference in hertz, others do not understand why take TV for 100k , if there is "the same" for 10k
