What file system should I format my hard drive with?
Bought a hard drive to store files. It will mainly be used in conjunction with a Macbook. But also the hard one will connect to Windows to view files. What system is best to format the hard drive?

Macbook uses HFS+. Programs for reading HFS + under Windows are paid - Paragon HFS +
But in the opposite direction, you can get by with the driver built into the macbook, but from NTFS read only, and on NTFS WRITE -> free SL-NTFS program.
Of course, you can make a completely universal version in FAT32, but it has a file size limit of 4Gb. And FAT32 is less reliable.
The most compatible and best option is exFAT .
