Opencart is a pretty big engine for a small store, along with Prsteshop, Magento, Bitrix (although Bitrix is another story)
I advise you to use SimplaCMS . Pretty simple, lightweight and understandable engine. There are not many free templates for it, but if you search, you will find. In general, this engine is so simple that you can create a template for it yourself. As easy as on WP.
On the official site, there is a forum where you can ask a question, or learn about new extensions.
The only negative is that you need to install the engine anew every month with a demo version
