What else can you use to develop for Windows Phone other than Visual Studio?
It is clear that for some other methods you will still need the Windows Phone SDK

You can use any editor/IDE and compile projects using msbuild.
But there is a question with debugging.
What's wrong with VS and what are your requirements for other tools?
