What educational program to choose at the university if I want to work in the gaming industry?

Good afternoon, I'm applying to ITMO, but I can't decide between two bachelor's programs.
After training, most of all I want to go to work in the game industry as a developer, in one of the game studios in St. Petersburg.
1) Information systems and technologies. Curriculum
This program, judging by the words of the students and the curriculum, teaches everything, but little by little. That is, so that the student can try and touch everything, and then move in the area he likes himself. Quite a lot of free time is given, the load is not as strong as in the second program, and in this free time you can study the profile you like.
2) Software engineering. System and application software (SPPO). Academic plan
As I understand it, this program is already more aimed at working with hardware, namely the development of software for hardware. Here, the workload is already much greater, there is little free time for independent study. But at the same time, programming seems to have more hours.
Since I am still green in this area, I do not fully understand what is more useful for me to work in the gaming industry and I ask you to help me with the choice. Do I need knowledge of low-level programming, understanding of circuitry, I / O interfaces and how hardware works to work in the gaming industry? Or is it still better to give preference to a program where they will teach you how to work with everything and give you enough free time for self-education?

what will be more useful for me to work in the gaming industry

1. You choose a specific profession: Programmer, Game Designer, Accountant - it doesn't matter.
2. Looking for vacancies
3. Studying what is most often mentioned
Decided to be a programmer? Go to any more or less solid faculty, where there is the development of Mathematics and Computer Science.
Decided to be a game designer? Rest in peace
Decided to be a graphic designer? Go to some art university, also look at solidity, maybe everywhere they teach in different ways.
While studying, drive on some JAMs and gain experience, try to do something yourself.

I can say for sure that a person who is not able to choose a university / direction / etc, and does not understand why a university is needed - will simply waste time in it with a probability > 90%.
PS Both directions are connected with programming in almost no way. You should at least read the descriptions. If it is development that interests you, then it’s better for a mat. obes. in some spbgu. I had an acquaintance - one of the smartest people I've met - flew out of there with a bang. I then studied applied computer science at another university and I was a little freaked out by his notes ...
