What does the LPIC-1 level certificate give?

How prestigious is this certificate? Are employers watching?
Does it in itself imply a sufficient level for more or less complex work as a system administrator?

I had CCNA, I took it in 2013, it was already rotten. Where was it useful? When submitting a resume, he stood out from a bunch of other applicants. Think for yourself: a leader gets 10 resumes on the table a day, by the end of the week there are 50 of them. Who will get priority?
A person with a CCNP security certificate came to me for an interview. We thought - that's it, our passenger. In fact, zilch, I could not even beat the network on the subnet. Very disappointed.
On the other hand, recently in my resume I wrote “knowledge of networks at the CCNP + level”, a couple of questions are enough for an interviewer to understand real knowledge.
The highest certificate in the hierarchy is needed when applying to a company that deals with tenders. The qualification requirements often contain clauses “the presence of personnel with such and such a certificate in the state”.
Bottom line: the certificate helps to stand out from the crowd, but the program must be consistent.

with certificates such a story. a certificate is often needed only so that the personnel officer catches on to the resume during preliminary filtering ("Oh, certificate, let's put the candidate aside so that we can take a closer look later ..").
After the personnel officer, the certificate holder gets to a technical interview and there he can be asked questions that are filled only with practice .. and then, oh, how lucky ..
But in general, my opinion is that it is better to have at least some kind of certificate, if you have one, of course practical knowledge.

To work as an assistant to the system administrator - enough.
To work as a system administrator - depends on the infrastructure, the company.
lpic is not bad in principle, but not that it is cool. Just one of those that mean something.
But I met people with lpic and rhel certificates, who almost didn’t fumble, and without certificates who are just gods
