What does ID mean in RouterOS?

In the window "Licensing" winbox there is an item

Software ID:
5fe7753562446642044112.jpeg
It consists of 8 characters, written in a 4 dash 4 character pattern. And it's different for every system.
What does this ID mean? Is the length of the given ID a section ID? Can it be changed and how?

@Wexter

This is the unique ID of the RouterOS copy, needed to bind the license to it
. Why would you want to change it?

@Aelliari

It is associated with the section id and is calculated based on it, but as far as I understand, it is not equal to it. Or rather, not even a partition, but a drive and its layout, and it doesn’t matter hdd, ssd, nand flash, spi flash. When you change the volume and / or mbr on the drive - the software id changes, it changes - the license flies.
PS there are people who live on the eternal CHR trial, regenerating the softID once every 60 days (or as needed) in order to update the ROS version

As far as I know, this unique ID is taken from the serial number of the SPI Flash. Therefore, in theory it can be changed by soldering the chip to a new one, but why? The license will fly off
