What do you need to quickly update 1C?

There are several 1C databases on the Win 2012 R server.
The update takes a very long time, sometimes up to 3-4 hours.
The server is virtual, not dedicated.
What needs to be added? RAM? Processors? Free place?
It is necessary to somehow speed up the update of 1C databases as much as possible.
There are a lot of them, and spending a huge amount of time 4 times a year is not an option.

We allocated a separate machine for the update -

  1. Fastest IO - ideally memdisk
  2. The fastest percentage in terms of gigahertz per core - better 2 cores at 3.5 GHz than 16 at 3 - single-threaded update. Ideally something 5 GHz
  3. The fastest memory - the volume in conventional databases is not particularly critical - no more than 2-3 gigabytes are eaten up when updating typical boo and zik.
  4. Computer settings - here we already take the Gilev test and his articles and dive into it.

"Throw away in a colander", that is, make updates on a separate "test" copy. Then upload the configuration to the "working" base. At the same time making sure that the update does not introduce errors.
