What CMS has multi-site support out of the box without tricky hacks in the code?

I tried to find a good CMS with the ability to host multiple sites on one engine. I liked WordPress, but the multisiding function is somehow crooked: not all themes and plugins support it.
Drupal seems to support it, but compared to WP, this is some kind of crap.
Can anyone recommend a good CMS?

Joomla - out of the box 100%.

Drupal is really the most inconvenient CMS I've come across, but, IMHO, it's probably the only one in which multisite works out of the box. Apparently sometimes you have to neglect usability for the sake of functionality =)

Multisite in WP works fine, it turns on elementary. "Crookedly done" - what exactly? Say what's wrong. Maybe:
