What can you say about the workplace in the cloud?
Good day to all. I would like to discuss the issue of creating the main workplace of a system administrator / ordinary user in the cloud. The essence of the idea is as follows: a server / VDS / VDI is rented (or placed at home). For me, this is definitely a Windows machine, because. I use a lot of software for this operating system. At this workplace, VPN connections are created to controlled infrastructures/networks, all daily used software is launched - RDP sessions, SSH sessions, all sorts of Winbox, Cisco Network Assistance, VMware vSphere Client and other tools. The advantages of this approach are obvious: everything is collected in one place, accessible from any device and any place on earth. For example, I constantly use about 15 SSH connections to servers, 5 RDP connections, 2-3 Winbox and much more. Coming to work or home, all this is cumbersome to launch, enter passwords, etc. The laptop is also not suitable, because. all sessions will be torn when it is turned off for transfer. Although at home there is a PC turned on around the clock, but the provider periodically drops, the light can also be turned off. It's obvious that you can use screen for SSH. It's about the Windows machine.
I would like to hear thoughts on implementation, security, pros and cons. And most importantly your experience, how do you cope with such a routine.

This is just a remote desktop, no special features of RDP, it is RDP, reliability and security depends only on you, what can be VPS if you are talking about security.
