Good evening.
Throughout 2018, I was gnawed by the desire to immerse myself in the study of servers (from assembly to configuration). In the end, I gave up and want to somehow solve this issue.
I would be grateful for a direction in literature or some kind of training manuals with pictures

There are a lot of servers. Setting up servers can not be mastered in a lifetime.

If you are interested in hardware - well, at least look for modern standards for server rooms - cabinets, units, how server hardware differs from ordinary ones, and most importantly why. (memory with parity, multiprocessor motherboards, server cases, raid controllers)
First of all, you need to understand what a server is, and how it differs from a workstation. Because in some cases - almost nothing.

The server needs to be touched by hands. Like a girl. Until you feel it, you won't understand. There are many nuances that can only be tested with the appropriate piece of hardware - Dell, HP ...

To learn, you need to have a problem to solve.
And then by trial and error, take the cheapest computer, and try to set it up for some task, run into the fact that something is missing, you will upgrade it.
Where can I find the task? Make a free hosting: web, vps, ... there will be a load on the server and evil users, so they will teach you)
