What books or video materials (lessons) can you recommend for writing your own engine in PHP. (guru level)

If I understood you correctly, you want to create cms. It's better to use frameworks. Preferably with a large community and good documentation.
I write in Yii (version 2) - simple and clear code, the ability to twist whatever you want.
More popular ones are laravel, Symfony and others.
Documentation is the best book.

Write not an engine, but a framework and then an engine based on it. And there is nothing good in the books. Exit 1. Understand the code of a popular engine and understand how it works. And you also need to know the basic patterns (google)
