What can be put on i386, 3MB RAM?

There is an old laptop with 3MB of memory. I'm looking for a Linux distribution that will run on it.
Xs are not required, you can output something useful through fbdev =)

I once installed Slackware on this one (the version of that time, of course).
And so you can experiment with different minimal Linux types. For example: wiki.laptop.org/go/Minimal_Linux_distros

As an option - BasicLinux - should be on 3MB RAM.

Slackware was the first to get up, even with X's.

What memory is there? I had a variety of memory sticks lying around somewhere, including from very old laptops. If it fits, I can donate. I actually live far away.

I put FreeBSD 3.4 on a similar one.
It was fun

Can still deliver RAM? There is a lot of junk on the old market for sale.
