What can be harvested from the motor of a washing machine?

Italian, Candy (marking is uninformative, not googled, there are 6 contacts on the block). Changed the machine, the motor is not thrown away, working. Ceiling fan, wind generator, what kind of machine? It would be nice with diagrams, calculations, drawings ... Which of these engines are usually homemade?

Collector, quite powerful (if you drive it for a short time - there is no cooling impeller), 220-volt, superbly adjustable in speed in a thousandfold range - yes, anywhere!
For example, you can install it on a drilling desktop machine instead of a regular asynchronous one and get rid of the speed change by changing the belt. True, you have to carve a pulley for a flat belt.

It would be nice with diagrams, calculations, drawings ...
No, it already depends on the specifics. The only thing I advise is that if you have a broken modern vacuum cleaner in the same manner, then save the triac speed controller from it, and you can use it to adjust this washing engine. Everything else from the vacuum cleaner is difficult to use (especially its motor, it is too high-speed and noisy).

Here is a regulator circuit with speed maintenance: www.motor-r.info/p/blog-page_4.html Ready -made is on Ali. It is very convenient for any machines - the rotor always spins the same way, the speed does not sag from the application of force - the regulator compensates.

On Habré, one comrade made an "electric car" on it, because. it can operate on direct current, the required voltage was provided by a bunch of series-connected batteries ..

I read the comments here and I don’t agree with something, I’m not a washing machine master, but I saw a lot of damaged machines and dismantled a lot for spare parts myself, but I never saw a burned-out motor, usually the reason is either in the drum or in electronics, I don’t know maybe someone’s motor burned out, but I’m convinced this is a rarity, about the endurance of these motors, I assembled two grinders on them, and one honey extractor, everything works fine, I agree that it’s rather weak for a grinder, but if you don’t sharpen some big ones on it details, and even if you sharpen, you don’t need to press hard and that’s it, it’ll just be sharpened a little longer, I specially drove the first grinder to understand when the engine barks, I didn’t wait, I was tired, I didn’t turn it off for an hour and a half, even during smoke breaks, yes he warmed up, but for two years now it has been working and nothing

I converted a Soviet desktop lathe to such an engine, crossed it with a Chinese regulator. I put other pulleys and a flat belt from viburnum. Now you do not need to throw the belt to change the speed.

Very comfortable engine. Relatively cheap, when using a Chinese frequency converter, you can achieve any speed. Alternatively, use one frequency converter for several engines. There is a reverse.
Pulleys aren't a problem, neither are belts.

I do not approve of the installation of an electric motor from a washing machine in a lathe. And there are good reasons for this. For example, closed-type asynchronous motors are installed in a lathe. There are no rubbing brushes in it, and the engine from the washing machine is of an open type. The rotor is air cooled. And carbon brushes are installed in the collector. Industrial asynchronous motors in practice serve for years, if not decades, but the time will not come to replace the bearing row. Well, in washing machines, for the sake of cost and more frequent changes, the effect of aging has already been incorporated into motors from manufacturers for only five years and brushes and bearings need to be changed, and even more often, depending on the greed of the manufacturer. In addition, if metal chips from the machine get into the open engine, then the entire collector assembly can easily fail and the engine will require serious and very expensive repairs. And is it worth it to fence the garden and invent a bicycle again, when real production and technical electric motors can be bought without any problemshttps://tehprivod.su/katalog/elektrodvigateli will also bring home. But it's up to you to decide.
