What book to read about microcontrollers (with an emphasis on robotics)?

It is desirable that there be an emphasis on robotics, and on writing code for the microcontroller

You won't find the book "Make a Robot in 21 Days" for sure. You will have to re-read a bunch of everything from the field of mechanics, electrodynamics, radio electronics, circuitry, and of course the documentation for specific models of microcontrollers. And each will be without deviations.
