Recommend a blog platform where you can write as conveniently from your phone as from your computer.
I really liked medium.com, but you can’t add your own domain there and there is no tool for inserting code.
Now I keep a blog on git pages, I would like to simplify and just write when I want to relax, not thinking about work.
Basic requirements: no ads (even if it will be paid), you can add your own domain, clean white theme, categories. That's all.

Why not try Tumblr ? You can add your own domain. That shaft - you can easily find a minimalist theme.
What are you currently using? Jekyll ? A perfectly adequate solution. It seems nothing complicated.
