What awaits us after flat design?

Fashionable flat design has been relevant for the last 4-5 years, I have never seen anything like it before.
What do you think about flat design in applications, and what style will be used in a few years?

Flat design is the result of programmers starting to design (seen due to the lack of cheap quality designers).
If we continue further in this vein, then sooner or later there will be an even more simplified design at the level of text, images and functional elements.
Or, finally, cheap high-quality designers will appear and everything will return "to normal".

Flat design, if you look at it, is just a drop, one step from the whole path from classical design to constructivism. However, lately we have already busted with this. We have already jumped over the line a long time ago, modern flat is simply impossible if I, a young man who is constantly surfing the net on some sites, cannot find the right button. I think the point is the inertia of the system, swung towards insanity, roll back and so on. In the end, we will stop at something like the golden mean between simplicity and sufficiency.
The main rule of design: do not follow fashion - create fashion. Everyone who picks up trendy design ideas is doomed.

I think the next iteration will be more detailed flat design. Everything is flat, with shadows, but more details, gradients. Although who knows...
In any case, there are two ways, simplification and complication, or even more minimalism, or more detail.
